This hampers the education, health and growth of their generations to come. Economy is hampered as well in the larger picture. According to estimates, putting a stop to the system of child marriage could generate more than $500 billion in benefits annually each year.

Other hurdles girls face on the way to education include poverty, cultural norms, poor infrastructure, and crime rate.

Studies and practical observation has identified that women face gender bias, sexual harassment and powerful structural barriers in the professional setups.
