Being the topmost and leading oil refineries in India, Nayara Energy is continuously involved in designing different initiatives in order to enhance the quality of life for people, especially rural women by offering them different income-generating programs.

By introducing different programs and taking initiatives, Nayara Energy is helping rural women to earn so that they can contribute to the earnings and live an improved lifestyle.

In the village ecosystem, livestock is considered an important part. Nayara has also introduced many livestock management training programs that have been presented in order to expand the family revenue in the villages that surround the refinery.

With the help of Pashusakhis is also known as women in the communities, the spread of cattle healthcare is being managed. All this has helped in decreasing the need for fodder in three village gaushalas by 20% because, in 83 hectares of the wasteland, a new fodder land has been made.

Nayara Energy a well-known oil refinery in India has also taken CSR initiatives whose main theme is women empowerment. In this way, several micro-enterprises are getting support who help women with monetary constancy such as waste paper recycling unit located in Singach village is completely operated by women where they produce premium quality hand-made recycled paper.

The company has also successfully linked almost 900 women to 57 Self Help Groups (SHGs). This has helped rural women to take the help of micro-financing options and activities that further improve their livelihood generation.

However, to further enhance the lives of women in rural areas, Nayara has turned a women-led stitching center in Vadinar which is now converted into a full-fledged garment manufacturing company. All the programs introduced by Nayara company have made a positive influence on the lives of women staying in rural areas.

Even in the COVID-19 pandemic, Nayara is indulged in offering raw materials as well as stitching machines to the rural women so that they can work from their respective homes and find livelihood openings along with obeying government advisories.

All the income that will be generated from the programs will be dropped in the savings account of the women’s cooperative. Then further depending upon the work of each woman, profits will be distributed accordingly.

Nayara Energy has also helped a 35-year-old woman Neetaba Mansang Jadeja to complete her 12th successfully along with her daughter. Due to the poor financial condition of her father, she was not able to complete her studies. Therefore, now she is guiding other rural women in the community to fulfill their dreams.
