·         Go to your Instagram account and Log in.

·         Here, you will see a 3 bars icon button. Tap the Switch to Business Account and Continue.

·         Now, you will be asked to fill out the vital information such as email, contact number, and physical address. Fill all the details and tap on Done. Your account will successfully be converted into a business account.

How to Start a Promotion

 It is time to get ready to promote your first post. Implement these steps to do so.

1.       Navigate to your profile and tap on the Promotions button.

2.       Now, you will be taken to a screen where there are different posts. Choose the posts which you want to promote and Proceed Further.

3.       Now, a screen will appear that asks you to choose the call to action for the selected post. Incall to action buttons, you will see the following options:

·         Contact Us

·         Book Now

·         Apply Now

·         Download

·         Call Now

Here, you need to be careful while deciding the call to action. For example, if you want the people to contact you, then you should be selecting, Contact us. Similarly, if you are providing the services of a function or a marriage venue, then you can select Book Now.

Furthermore, you can also add some hashtags in your content by getting them through this tool. Hashtags taken from this tool will enhance the relevancy of your content.

Selecting the Target Audience

4.       After you select the call to action, Instagram will now ask you to select your target audience.  Here, you will have two options to select your target audience:

·         Automatic

·         Manual (Create your own)

1.      Automatic

If you choose the automatic option, then the Instagram algorithm will automatically choose the target audience based on your interests, content and your likes. Selecting the manual option is relatively preferable given that you would have a lot of customizations under your authority.

2.      Manual

If you opt for the manual option, then you will have to provide all the details of your target audience. You will have to give the details of their

·         Location

·         Age

·         Gender

·         Type

·         Interests

When you provide all the related details about the people whom you want to target, then Instagram algorithm automatically detects the people and shows your promotion to the appropriate target audience.  Providing all the details by yourself also helps you to get rid of the followers who are not interested in the products of your business.

Choosing the Budget

5.       At the last step, Instagram will ask you about your Budget, Distribution, and Duration of the promotion.

Here, Instagram will guide you how much you should be spending on getting a certain amount of audience. It will also tell you that your promotion would run for certain days.

Generally, Instagram charges around 500$ per ad that would run for 30 consecutive days. Instagram also informs you that in this money, you will be managed to get the reach of around 200-300k followers.

After choosing your monetary plan, everything is done. Your promotion is ready to reach to thousands of people.
