A micro centrifuge is a mechanical device that uses centrifugal force generated by high speed rotation (horizontal). Thus protecting the device and adding to the safety of the laboratory.

Generally if anything comes in contact with the moving rotor it will be safe since the main lid is locked during the run. However one should make sure never to touch the Micro Centrifuge while it is spinning since it could cause injury.
