The unavailability of sufficient and pragmatic OT light can easily derail the function and efficiency of the whole surgical procedure. Hence, in order to facilitate better lighting option and enhance the overall efficiency of the medical team involved in the surgery at that moment, it is essential to have a proper lighting system that helps surgeon throughout the operation procedure. 

The lighting efficiency in and around the surgical room is an extremely essential topic for the team involved in conducting surgery. It can either make or mar the ultimate outcome of the procedure. Since there is no natural light in OT, it becomes imperative to have proper arrangement of the lighting system in the room so that the team performing the surgery don not find it any kind of difficulty during the whole procedure. It is extremely essential that the lighting system in the operating room must be quite flexible so that it can be easily and quickly adjustable as per the requirement of the surgical team. The team of surgeons, doctors, or other medical experts and staff present in the operation theatre need to adjust the lighting intermittently during the surgery. It helps them to identify the operating spot clearly and effectively. If the arrangement of lighting is not proper or it takes time to readjust its angle or spot, it can affect the overall procedure and the efficiency, as well as the outcome of the surgery, can suffer considerably.   

Brightness 

Brightness is another important aspect that can affect the surgical procedure. The brightness or contrast effect plays a significant role in recognizing the surgical spot as well as the organ on which the surgery is supposed to be performed. It is simply the amount of light delivered by a source to illuminate the specific surgical area. The adjustment of proper brightness is also crucial because it assists in identifying the small tissue and separating the non-surgical organs with the one that is supposed to operate. It is also prominent to note that too much brightness can also hinder effort made by the surgeons. Hence, there should be a proper arrangement to make quick adjustments in the brightness of OT light.
