The mattress industry is overwhelmingly big.

Primarily, it manufactures comfort and convenience to every person across the globe as evidenced by the many types of bed it has created and naturally, a good sleep creates wonders to every individual, thanks to the innovation brought by the mattress industry.

Arianna Huffington, one of the most powerful women in the world per Forbes, has been actively promoting the importance of sleep. The spokesperson for the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) commended her for her crucial role in the development of the industry.  A noteworthy fact is the positive changes that her sleep campaign has brought in the industry, particularly people’s recognition of the relevance of sleep to their health and lifestyle.

ISPA reports reveal that the number of mattresses that was sold in 2015 increased by 4.5% and revenue also rose by 6.8%. As impressive as it can get, recent figures show that the industry consistently marks growth, with the 2016 wholesale value of bed foundations and mattresses made and sold in the US alone stepped up 3.4% from the previous year.  This significant trend is expected to continue in the years to come.  That said, the market is anticipated to expand and produce novel products and services based on the demand of the consumers.

The founder of the Huffington Post had an ugly accident in 2007 when she fainted from extreme fatigue that resulted in a minor operation on her affected eye.  Like former Yahoo’s bigwig Marissa Meyer, Huffington is said to have a bad habit of sleeping for a few hours only.  The unlikely incident caused her to modify her sleeping patterns and act as an agent of change to many.

Sleep clinicians highly encourage enough hours of sleep as a deprivation of such can result in physical and psychological problems.  The power of mattresses plays a pivotal role in these challenging situations as sleep quality is critical to anyone.

Selecting the right size, type and design of the bed is a wise and may be an expensive investment but the effects are relaxing and rejuvenating, hence good mental and physical health are restored.

Not only does the mattress industry aim to profit wisely from its variety of mattresses.  Above anything else, comfort is its performance tool, a front runner in their mantra of “helping people’s daily lives become better,” said Mario, director at Sylvia Bazaar

With the advancement of technology, it is inevitable that the mattress industry will escape the massive benefits of the digital age.  Mattress manufacturers have adapted the latest design software to improve the physical aspects of the beds, making them more appealing to the customers.  Tools and types of equipment used in the factories are already automated to reduce long hours of labor.  There are mattresses seen on TV ads that are paired with remote controls and offer thrilling features like LED lighting and massage.

Customers are becoming more practical with faster turnaround especially on bulk orders and their requests for delivery solutions are more specific as they want to keep up with the latest innovations in tech as well.  A good example of a company that prioritizes the needs and demands of the consumers is Global Systems Group.  In its aim to improve the efficiency of their quilter operators, smart devices are applied such as the HDMI portable tablet.

Gone are the days when our culture in sleeping is to only have a bed that we can rest and sleep on.  At present, the choices of mattresses are strongly competitive and are tailored based on our needs.  Indeed, the sleep industry is not sleepy at all.  It is sophisticated and its scope is bigger than one can imagine.
