Ayurvedic treatments are effective in helping you live not
just a healthier life, but a happier one. Why? Because they address all aspects
of the human person, delving into physical, psychological, and emotional
factors that contribute to your overall balance of mind, body, and spirit.
Ayurvedic treatments are tapered to each individual and
provide solutions that are totally unique to you. Its wide-ranging approach
allows patients to thrive more vibrantly in their life, and enables them to
prosper each and every day.
The importance of attitude
People say “attitude is everything” for a reason. Living a
long life is connected not just to physicality, but to mentality. This is what
Ayurvedic treatments have perfected over the centuries. By looking at your
“energies” and internal balance as effected by the external world, these
treatments help you target the problem in a very specific way and address it
accordingly. The method is more open-minded than traditional medicine, viewing
diseases as related to personality types and specific energies rather than
focusing only on physical contributors. Here is the list of ayurvedic treatment.

Doshas
There are three main life forces (or energies) that are
examined during Ayurvedic treatments. What is an interesting thing to note here
is that the symptoms of an “imbalanced” personality go beyond physical
problems; they cross into the realm of emotional imbalances and psychological
disorders as well.
- Vata
(air and space): This energy is associated with motions of the body,
such as blood circulation, heartbeat, breathing, and blinking. When this
personality or energy is “in balance,” it produces creativity and
liveliness. When it is out of balance, it causes stress, anxiety, and can
lead to insomnia and lack of focus.
- Pitta
(fire and water): This force controls your body's metabolic systems,
including temperature, digestion, absorption, and nutrition. When in
balance, this life force can lead to intelligence and commitment. When it
is out of balance, it leads to anger and ulcers. A person may become more
compulsive, irritable, and suffer digestive problems or inflammatory
conditions.
- Kapha
(water and earth): This energy has to do with growth in the body. It
supplies water, maintains the immune system, and aids in moisturizing the
skin. When in balance, it leads one to be loving and forgiving. When out
of balance, it can cause insecurity, envy, weight gain, or sluggishness.
Why this matters
Most people do not stop to think that if they are
emotionally and spiritually imbalanced, it can lead to just as much unhappiness
as physical illness. Such imbalance negatively impacts your mood so that you
lose the motivation to even take care of yourself, thus contributing to a
shortened (and unhappier) lifespan.
Ayurvedic treatments look at the human person as a whole,
and not just as an isolated physical form. They remind us that health is an
integration of intellect, spirit, body, and environment. The key is achieving a
dynamic balance in order to thrive at your fullest human potential.
