· You will be asked to pay a month’s rent in advance as a security deposit followed by the paperwork.

· Employment evidences are required such as passport or ID, tax identification number and personal references.

· You have to sign on the tenancy contract. Both verbal and written contracts are valid. But it would be wise to choose the written one, if you do not speak Spanish fluently.

· It is suggested to insist the claws in writing, so that you fully have the knowledge on what you are signing.

· The tenant can renew the property annually for 5years except for the fact being mentioned by the owner that he/she wants the possession on the given date.

· The owner can increase the rent if there is any renovation made.

· The owner should be licensed for property to rent in Spain for short term or holiday lets.

· The tenant has to leave the apartment once the agreed time ends.
