How About Using the Magic Keyboard With the iPad Air 4?
Thinking of a magic keyboard, the first thought that comes to the mind is this is what we were looking for, for a long time. Finally, there is a keyboard case with a trackpad that allows you to use your iPad Air 4 like any other laptop.
The magic keyboard for iPad Pro features an in-built keyboard and trackpad that is compatible with the new iPad Air 4. Fortunately, the thickness of the two Apple devices doesn’t matter much, but the fun part is that the accessories are cross-compatible between the two.
A magic keyboard is a convenient accessory if you want to use your tablet like a laptop. An iPad can be attached magnetically to a magic keyboard and provides the data via Smart Connector. A lot of people are big fans of such connectors as they only require you to plug-in and use, without any further efforts. The best part is whenever you want to use your iPad as a tablet, all you need to do is pull out the magnetic keyboard, and there you are switching from a laptop to a tablet.
Though the magic keyboard is magic for real, there are two drawbacks to the same: functional and financial. The functional drawback is the absence of a function row, which might have proved to be much useful. On the other hand, the financial limitation is the price of the keyboard. The magic keyboard comes for a price of $299 for the 11-inch version; and is available for $349 for the 12.9-inch version, without any offers or discounts. Also, if you’re willing to get an iPad Air 4 along, it’ll cost you sixty percent of the price of the base model of iPad Air.
Worried about your budget? If you have a budget crisis and cannot afford to buy a magic keyboard, Logitech is soon coming up with a solution to the same. Logitech is going to release a version of the Folio Keyboard for the iPad Air 4 in October. Things will fall in your favor as the new keyboard functions almost the same as the magic keyboard. If you’re fine with the same, you can use it as a perfect alternative at a much lower price.
One question that is asked by a lot of potential buyers of the magic keyboard is whether the Magic Keyboard makes the iPad a better iPad to use?
Undoubtedly, iPad Pro is the most versatile screen, which is amusingly portable. You can use it as a desktop or on a couch, watch movies, and do a lot of other stuff. It can be used as an alternative when you don’t wish to switch on your Mac or if it’s overloaded. Now that there is a trackpad available, you can work with it as a desktop machine. The Magic Keyboard makes a lot of things better and is a massive update than whatever was available earlier.
Unfortunately, the present Folio Keyboard isn’t compatible with the iPad Air 4 because of its integrated casing. However, it seems like you won’t have to wait much before the new Folio Keyboard finally arrives and is compatible with the Air 4.
