An age-old Indian favourite, desi ghee is something which is widely available in the most household. Although it has been used as medicine for issues like soft skin, cough, and cold since ancient times, it’s the credibility of being healthy to consume has been challenged from time to time. This led scientists to conduct many tests and results of those have affirmed the fact the naturally occurring saturated fats like desi ghee are more or less beneficial for health. So, understand that pure desi ghee made from the A2 milk and is quite opposite of the misconceptions that it is bad for your health. 

According to Ayurveda, desi ghee is a type of superfood with a lot of healing benefits. The form called “Shudh Ghee” which is nothing but the pure form of the fat will help in keeping a body fit instead of harming it. The ones which cause the harm to the body are the ones which are adulterated and sold in markets for making a profit. This shudh desi ghee has a lot of benefits especially beneficial for sick people. Not only that, but cancer patients also benefit by consuming this pure desi ghee made from the A2 milk.

What makes Desi ghee better for preventing cancer?

One of the benefits of consuming desi ghee that it has a lot of enzymes which are responsible for detoxification of substances which can cause the varied type of cancers. It also helps to decrease the presence of carcinogens-activating elements.

Here is the composition of Desi ghee or clarified butter. It contains a lot of good fats. These fats include omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids are known to improve quality and treatment of cancer patients. It actually helps in rejuvenation.

It also has butanoic acids & conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which acts as antibacterial and anti-cancer agents. The CLA present in the ghee is responsible for bringing inflammatory compounds down and making cancer cells self-destruct by the process called apoptosis. The butanoic acid or butyric acid present in the ghee also helps in the treatment as well as prevention of issues like Alzheimer’s.

These fatty acids which are present in the desi ghee help in bringing out the anti-tumour effects of CLA. It was found by a study conducted on a group of mice. These mice were implanted with breast cancer cells. A diet which contained nothing but an only high level of corn oil was fed to Group A of mice. Then the Group B of mice were given the normal food combined with CLA and the final group, Group C of mice were given ghee which included CLA.

These tests showed that the Group C, which was the group on mice which consumed CLA added ghee had a lot smaller number of areas where the cancer was prevalent as metastases. This ghee helped to bring CLA to a level which was crucial to making it effective. In conclusion, the ghee boosts the important cancer-fighting elements present in the CLA.

Apart from those, ghee made from desi cow also contains Vitamin A, which is appropriately named as Medicine of the immune system. It is known for keeping skin cells as well as a mucous membrane in good shape. This helps in keeping a person safe from cell damage and fights cancer at the same time.

Desi ghee also has the amount of Vitamin E in a composition which is also one of important cancer-fighting anti-oxidant. Then it also has Vitamin K which helps in improving the health of the blood and making blood clotting better. Elements present in desi ghee also helps in the development and growth of bones as it contains fat-soluble vitamins.
