Horizon Where Fashion Meets Crafts

by Aapro Label Aapro Label

Crafts are the most fundamental section in the lives of the Indians.  Working with raw materials and crafting them into beautiful structures is one part that has remained constant in their lives in spite of the changing times and advancing generation. In India, making crafts is one of the biggest sources of occupation and the Indian Crafts making industry provides employment to a majority of the people.

Indian Crafts is such a diverse subject that it has slowly crept into the world of fashion as well. Once discovered the magic of it, the fashion designers have started to fuse fashion with crafts. The results have turned out to be a massive success. The next revolution in the fashion industry was brought about when the western fashion industry, impressed by the Indian crafts and fashion, wanted to incorporate with the Indian Fashion Industry.

The Indo Western fashion is all about the fusion of the two different fashion industries keeping crafts as their base. It is often described as a two-way process. While incorporating with fashion preserved the integrity of Indian crafts likewise, upon the fusion of crafts with fashion, the fashion industry soared.

The crafts has added a new element to the fashion industry, thereby enhancing it greatly and quite the same way the educated fashion designers teach the craftsmen about the latest technologies and the preference of the people of new generation. Ever since the Indian crafts industry and western industries have found their way towards their merger with the Indian fashion industry, Indian Fashion has achieved great heights. Indian handmade textiles are quite famous and a great example of the boon brought to us by the merger of crafts and fashion.
