Among the places you can visit during your holidays to Majorca is the capital city, Palma de Mallorca. It gives you the opportunity to combine relaxation on the beaches with some cultural experiences. Overlooking the Old Harbour in this city is the Catedral de Mallorca, a grand building constructed using sandstones. Work on it began during the 13th century, but it wasn't complete until the 17th century. Upon getting inside this cathedral, you'll be amazed to see its elegant interiors with stained-glass windows. Most of the cathedral's interiors were remodelled in the early 20th century by the famous architect, Antoni Gaudi.

Your cheap holidays to Majorca would give you the opportunity to explore one of the most scenic towns of the island called Alcudia. It is surrounded by pine forests and lush greenery, which would instantly delight your senses. This walled medieval town is also well-known among tourists for its traditional festivals, historic monuments, and mouth-watering cuisine. During the Middle Ages, attacks from the pirates were a cause of concern and this is the reason why the town was fortified in those times. Today, its winding streets and an old-world charm draw plenty of tourists visiting Majorca every year.

Situated between the Mediterranean Sea and Tramuntana Mountains is the charming village of Valldemossa. Upon visiting this part of the island during your cheap holidays to Majorca, you'll be instantly attracted to its steep pedestrian streets and buildings with stone facades. As you descend the slopes of the mountains, you'll be led to beautiful coves and beaches. One of the attractions in this village is the magnificent Carthusian monastery of the Real Cartuja de Valldemossa.
