Hi-Tech Video Wall Display Technologies for Control Rooms

The government bodies are showing an emphasis on infrastructure improvement and
increased security & surveillance, which is driving an increased demand for
control rooms in all kinds of vertical markets. Nowadays, there is a desire to
be better connected and synchronized through a single large display wall, be it
for security & surveillance, traffic management, power distribution or
disaster management. Desktop monitors are becoming obsolete and there is a move
towards bigger displays which more operators can see at once. That helps
control room staff operate in an effective manner, as they don’t have to search
an entire system to get at the information they need. The Video wall has helped
control room operators to manage information in a more effective manner.
Whether it’s the
distribution of electricity, refining of petrochemicals, surveillance of city
streets, supervising of traffic or managing a major disaster, the control room
are the need-of-the-hour for every vertical. In APAC region, we have installed
Video walls for surveillance of an urban city to power distribution needs of a
rural town.
The demand for Control rooms in India and
other Asia pacific countries has been ever increasing as infrastructure
projects continue to grow. Working on control room projects is not the same as
other AV Projects like meeting rooms, hospitality, medical, and other
non-control room applications. There are certain challenges to it. The problem
arises mainly as control room is not planned by the Architects or end users
before the building is constructed. Control room requires a lot of space for
installation of Video wall, cladding of Video wall, consoles and other control
room furniture. If the same is kept in mind before designing of a control room,
we can overcome this issue.
