Here is how the Magic Trick Works….

“Learn the real secret”… “Secret revealed”… “The missing key”… “What they don’t want you to know”, one headline after another screaming at you ad nauseam that for a fee they can give you what you need to succeed.

You are promised the one and only piece of info or knowledge that you are supposedly missing which they will give you, once you pay them, to make you a super star, successful, business entrepreneur.

There is a problem though, if you have been out there for any length of time trying to build a business you will have at some point most likely bought into at least one of these offers.  Yet you are still not rich, if anything you are even poorer now than you were then.

What happened?  They promised didn’t they, you paid for the privilege of being one of the few to whom the secret would be revealed, but it didn’t work!  Or at least it didn’t work for you.

Let me ask you…. Do you drive a car?  Have you ever wondered what makes a car work?  Is it the wheels?  After all without wheels you will not get very far.  But wait, maybe what makes a car go is the engine! Aha! You have to have an engine to make two thousand plus pounds go anywhere.

But what about the gas?…No gas, no go… The transmission?  The steering wheel?  You have to be able to make it go where you want it to go.  How about the battery is that the “magic ingredient that makes a car work?

Do you get the picture yet?  There are many parts to the machinery we call business and they all need to be in place and working correctly in order to make the whole thing run smoothly.

But you do NOT have to know any of it to make it work!  Say what?

Let me repeat myself here… “You do NOT, have to know any of it, to make it work!”

Do you have to know how an automatic transmission works or do you just have to be able to put the darn thing into gear?

Do you need to know the principles behind internal combustion  engine in order to make the car go, or do you just have to know how to step on the gas pedal?

Do you have to have a degree in electronics and know the difference between a direct current and an alternating one or do you just have to turn the key?!

You see when you decided to get into business, you just wanted to drive the car. But nobody had shown you how to do it so you sat there, behind the wheel, going nowhere.  Along came “Mr Super Success Man” and he told you that “YOU were not driving, because you didn’t know, the secret magic formula for making gas.”

WOW!  What a concept… and you bought into it.  You hungrily reached for your wallet and shelled out some of your start-up capital so that you, could be one of the fortunate few who would know how to succeed.

But the business didn’t move did it?  The only movement you experienced was the flow of your money as it moved to the magician who sold you the secret formula that would put gas into you business.

Now if your like most people, you have a time of reflection, you gather up your resources and you try again.  You hop back into that car you call business and you “wish” it to drive.

Again, very little actually occurs as you sit there.  Until lo and behold “Mr Guru” shows up and offers to teach you all about mechanics of how things work.  Once more your wallet flies open and once more the movement of money from you to him is the sum and total of the results.

Again and again you will get offers to share the secret of the inner working of a business and the details of why things work in a particular way.  You will even be given the “KEY” that will trigger the results you want but you will NEVER, NEVER be sold the truth!

Because the truth is not for sale, there is no profit in it.  So no one will sell it to you.  You may have some one tell you about it, you may hear it some where.  Heck, you may even read it in an article but trust me my friends you will never be able to buy the truth!

And that is how the “Magic Trick” works!  It’s smoke and mirrors, it’s misdirection, it’s focusing on anything and everything else, so that you, miss the obvious truth.

That the secret to doing business, is simply to do it.

Now I would like to go on record as saying that it is always a good practice to learn the details and mechanics of doing business and how to run it.  There are always newer and more effective means and tools available.  If you don’t learn, your chances of failure will go up.

But they are not the key or the secret to making it work.  Only you, by taking action can do that.
