Heavenly Bodies Impact Earthly Lives For Better Or Worse
An ancient Indian belief states that planets and their positions in time affect earthly lives of sentient beings. Vedas or Indian religious scriptures, being thousands of years old, do deserve our veneration. Early Indian Vedic Astrology considered planets and stars and later included the zodiac signs. The belief is in 27 constellations with 12 zodiac signs and 9 planets. The 12 houses and planets affect different aspects of human existence.
The time of birth is crucial and is reflected in the horoscope as a chart with the positions of planets. Also known as Jyotisha, Indian Vedic Astrology studies these positions with their good and evil influences upon human lives. The three branches of this ancient science are Siddhanta (astronomy), Samhita (mundane) and Hora (predictive) with its several further sections.
Faith is essential and the Indian culture has believed in such an approach for an eternity. Hindu mythology explains astrological rules that common people cannot understand. Yet even modern science fails to explain those old methods. We should assume that statistics and probability can explain occurrences. If 80% chances exist according to events happening, we can believe that chances are very strong for everybody being affected the same way. When we apply such methods to planetary positions at birth, we reach certain expectations. Procedures exist to avoid harmful influences.
