Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for your mates.

Getting the whole family interested in grocery shopping and food preparation is a perfect way to get buy-in and participation. Make it fun by picking a new nutritious healthy food or recipe to try each week and including the whole family in the selection, buying, and preparation.

Improve the nutritional home meals value 
When the family is starving, the ingredients that are most readily available are likely to be chosen first. Make fruits and vegetables more recognizable and accessible to your neighbors, limit the amount of high-fat and sugary foods in the home, and substitute pre-sweetened drinks with water.

Family dinners are good for your fitness, but they don't count if you eat them in front of the TV. What is the reason for this? You're not even paying attention to whether or how much is going into your mouth while you're focused on the phone. Not only does dining at the table allow your family to engage with one another and eat more mindfully, but it also allows children to express themselves.
