Healthy Breakfast Cereals For Beauty

by Ria Pattni Cereals For Breakfast Is What Energize Me In the M

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You start the day by quite literally breaking your fast and hence the word ‘Breakfast’. However it’s not that easy for those who want a gluten free cereal. It’s a good idea to choose a healthy cereal that’s also a health and beauty food, no better way to start the day.

What is gluten, for many people this will make no difference but for the thousands that avoid gluten it’s a way of life. Some years back there was not much on offer for the gluten free cereal market but that has changes now. So many cereals packed with Quinoa, buckwheat, millet, amaranth, sorghum and wild rice are now available for those who prefer to eat gluten free products.

Cereals are a good way of supplementing your diet with essential minerals and vitamins. Iron rich cereals or cereal for breakfast that are fortified with vitamins are a good way to start the day off, as they replenish the body with much needed nutrients and are especially beneficial for the winter. Iron is most important for the formation of red blood cells, and this boosts circulation and helps keep you warm in the winter months, And for those who eat only gluten free foods, Millet is a rich source of iron and a very good grain to start the day with. Millet is one of the oldest grains, and has been used by mankind for thousands of years as a staple. Quinoa is also classed as a superfood and a very healthy grain that originates from South America. It’s a great grain to include in your breakfast and even as part of a meal.

Good vitamins to start the day with are the B vitamins as they provide energy and also nourish the nervous system. Oats are a great source of Vitamin B and they provide slow release energy which is perfect for the cold winter months. Oats are great as they curb mid morning craving and keep you feeling fuller for longer.

Breakfast cereals are by the most popular breakfast choice in the UK. Oats are very popular but so are mueslis as many women prefer the muesli with yogurt combination to avoid using a dairy product like milk. The nice thing about muesli is that it offers a variety of taste and texture and for those bored with oats it’s a great option. There are oat days and there are muesli days depending on how you feel go with what you crave. Likely over winter a warm gruel sounds more appetizing while in the summer yogurt and chopped fruits with your granola is a more inviting option.

A lot of the ingredients that go into making muesli are natural beauty foods. Beauty foods are those that boost healthy skin and hair. Nuts, seeds and dried fruits all contain essential nutrients that help promote healthier skin. The omega rich seeds are great foods for healthy skin. Adding fresh ingredients to your cereal is also a wonderful idea. Opt for seasonal fruits like strawberries in the summer and pears for the winter. Add in chopped banana or even superfoods like Acai and Goji berries. With a bowl of oats you can also add honey as a natural sweetener and some chopped almonds for healthy skin as almonds contain vitamin E.

It’s important to find a cereal that is low in sugar and salt, Make sure you read the ingredients list and are aware of the exact sugar content in your breakfast cereal. Many types of muesli may appear healthy but are hiding huge sugar amounts within. And this applies even if should you seek a gluten free cereal or a beauty food cereal.
