Who all have the authority to request DSAR?

PARENT OF THE MINOR - parents of a minor child also have the right to file a data subject access request in the interest of their child. 

 

How long can the organizations take to respond to DSAR?

Under the laws persistent in California pertaining to privacy rights, the DSAR is to be responded within 45 days from when it was received. This means that once the organization has received a request for data subject access, they need to respond to the needs of the consumer as soon as possible. If the data subject access request is not responded to on time as mentioned in the laws, penalties can be imposed. The administrative files are imposed on the firm for not adhering to the privacy rights of consumers. 

 

What does deletion under DSAR mean?

Removal of data from both the organization's control and 3rd party devices is what deletion in DSAR is all about as per privacy rights law. One can ask the company to extract all the personal information that has been saved in the records. After identification of the information, deletion is to be done if asked by the consumer. If the form has shared the information of the consumer with any third party, then they will be obliged to get it deleted as soon as possible.
