Steps to download bank transactions through web connect in QuickBooks
It is important to keep it in mind that certain banks allow
you to specify a certain window of time for the transaction downloads. If this
isn't an option offered by your bank, you can download the maximum number of
transactions the first time around automatically. This could be for 30, 60, 90,
or even longer days; it all depends on the bank. Importing transactions with
Web Connect can be done in two different ways.
- Run QuickBooks, then jump to Banking tab.
- Choose Bank feeds, then bank feeds center.
- Choose desired account in the list of bank accounts.
- Edit o remove items in “Send items to the bank”.
- Choose option to download transactions. Opt for the transaction list if the transaction is already downloaded.
- Choose Synchronize tab, then “Sync This Account” to download transactions for single account.
- Another way is to choose Sync All corresponding to “This Bank” option, then download transactions for all accounts with same bank.
- Use the pin or password to connect with the bank, then click Ok.
- When the transactions are downloaded, match them or edit them to add more values.
- The remaining transactions can be deleted, but note that downloaded transactions won’t be downloaded after deleting.
- In case you are using QuickBooks desktop, do the following:

Go to Banking, the opt for Bank feeds, then banking
centre.
o
Search for your bank and choose download
transactions.
o
The bank website will appear in a new window.
o
Login to the bank, then acquire the web connect
file.
o
If not using QuickBooks, open the Web browser first,
then go for the bank's website.
o
Then, sign in to the bank account, then save
transactions in the .qbo file format.
o
