Google is planning to get a new type of search results in mobile devices

A user time spent on mobile devices is enhancing day by day compared to the other devices. Users first preference is a mobile device if they want to search something on the search engines. Researchers are telling that usage of mobile is rapidly increasing day by day since 2016. In an average, an individual is using mobile devices for a period of 3 hours and 15 minutes per a day.

So, this is the time to enhance the user experience of search engines. Google has already started working on a new design of search results (also called as SERP) in mobile devices. According to my study, the design is in testing stage in which you can spot the new experience of both organic (free) and paid (advertisements) results.

Changes in the new design include,

  • Placing the URL’s on the top of the every search result rather placing it below titles.
  • In this type of design, users can experience with fewer ads. In general, users can see four AdWords Ads. Whereas, now users can see only two Ads. This helps the users to get accurate, relevant, organic results. Of course, organic results are the best, accurate results that have evolved with SEO activities.
  • Users can spot more colors to the search indexing results.

Currently, this new design of search results on mobiles is accessible to US users only as this design is in testing mode.

Users can see a slight change at the bottom of the search results page by displaying only one ad on the mobiles rather displaying three ads.

Yet to see lots more changes on this by the time of releasing this new update. Google is one of the successful product in giving a great user experience to their users.

I suggest Google add these features to its upcoming search engine update on mobile devices.

1. Bookmark / save option to the search engine results on the mobile devices. So, users can save or bookmark it and can access whenever they are free.

2. Open in a new tab option to the search results page on the mobile devices. This brings comfort to the users while clicking on search results and coming back to search results. In general, on desktops, we have a right click option in which we can open the link on new tab or a new browser.

Well, my opinion on the enhancements in the new design of search engine results on mobile devices should be considered and perceived by the webmasters, SEO agencies, and digital marketing agencies a lot.
