God's 10 commandments are laws that God gave to the ancient nation of Israel.

God's 10 Commandments are also known as the Ten Words, which is a literal translation of the Hebrew phrase aseret haddivarim.

This phrase occurs three times in the Pentateuch (Torah), the first five books of the Bible (Exodus 34:28; 2 Deuteronomy 4:13; 10:4). In Greek, the term "Dekalog" or "Decade" came from its equivalent deka (ten) logos (words).

God wrote the 10 commandments on two stone tablets and gave them to his prophet Moses on Mount Sinai (Exodus 24:12-18). They are listed in Exodus 20:1-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21.

1. I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other gods besides me (Exodus 20:2-3).

2. You shall not make for yourself idols in the likeness of anything that is in the sky above, on the earth below, or in the waters of the depths of the earth (Exodus 20:4).

3. You should not pronounce the name of your Lord God in vain. (Exodus 20:7).

4. Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy. (Exodus 20:8).

5. Honor your father and mother (Exodus 20:12).

6. Do not kill (Exodus 20:13).

7. An adulterer (Exodus 20:14).

8. Do not steal (Exodus 20:15).

9. Do not bear false witness against your neighbor (Exodus 20:16).

10. Do not set eyes on your neighbor's house or his farm. (Exodus 20:17).
