Global joint-recruitment initiative is changing the recruitment mindset

Ingenimundi, an online recruitment campaign to engage engineers and technicians across boundaries, wants companies to cooperate and hire together.

Brussels, Belgium – Feb 11, 2014 - The global initiative Ingenimundi has finished its launch period and during 2013 already attracted about 50.000 targeted unique visitors and qualified over 10.000 engineering profiles.

Much of the success appointed to the 1st year of this initiative is the mindset that the Ingenimundi team has in regards to the recruitment world. Pieterjan Kempynck, Managing Partner, explains the difference: “Ingenimundi is all about bringing a different approach to recruitment. It’s not a just a job-board, it’s a rich portal that wants to capture the attention of all engineers, be it active or passive job seekers. We took a year to establish a well-functioning collaborative model with our club members and work with them to engage the engineering community together. Now we are ready to open Ingenimundi to other companies who believe in a joint approach to recruitment”.

As of today Ingenimundi was able to bring on board GDF Suez (and related operating companies) and Barco as first club members, as well BCG, Mercer and KPMG as content partners. The initiative has an active presence on the different social networks and wants to become a core platform for engineers to reflect on their career, find interesting projects and jobs across the world, and bring together like-minded organizations.

These and more were some of the reasons why GDF Suez joined, in the words of Nicky Vanlommel, VP Human Resources for GDF Suez Energy Latin America: “Creating and sharing value together with our clients and partners is at the core of our business, and we believe that Ingenimundi will increase both our efficiency and attractiveness as our joint job offers provide more opportunities for the right candidates”.

Ingenimundi is designed to serve a select coalition of companies. The team is looking to expand its network of club members and content partners as well evolve the website in order to provide a better experience to all engineers and technicians around the world.
