Get to know the Toyota Aristo Sedan

The Toyota Aristo is a four-door mid-size luxury sedan available in a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout marketed by Lexus Motors. The car offers exquisite design, luxurious interior, excellent handling, and speed that can take you to any place. It was first introduced in 1991 and has two successive generations solely aimed at the Japanese market. It has a similar interior to the Lexus GS for two generations though, in the third generation, the Aristo model was no longer available. 

The GS or Grand Sedan was released in 1993 and came with a rear-wheel drive and a straight 6 engine. The 2nd and 3rd generations were equipped with all-wheel drive and V8 engines and in 2005, the hybrid versions came out. The Aristo and the GS have the same exterior and interior but are different engine components and transmissions as well as equipment package. 


Interior

The interior has a spacious, soft, and comfortable cabin that is suitable for long trips and offers a pleasant driving experience. Other variants of the Aristo are fitted with navigation, leather seats, and a stereo system set up in the boot.

Performance

The Toyota Aristo was equipped with a 2JZ engine which can also be found in MK4 Supra. It is also known for its 2JZ high-level tuning mode with small adjustments and it produced 400 horsepower. While the 1UZ-FE engine has been fitted to other models of the Lexus brand and Toyota. It received a facelift in 1994 and the production of the second generation starts at the end of 1997. The sales start at the end of 1997 as well.

The first generation offers three engines option: 3.0L 2JZ-GE straight 6, 3.0L 2JZ-GTE straight 6 turbo, and 4.0L 1UZ-FE V8 engine. While the second generation was equipped with two engines option: 3.0L 2JZ-GE straight 6 and 3.0L 2JZ-GTE straight 6 turbo, both attached to a Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i), and a 4-wheel drive for the V8 engine. All models of the Aristo are fitted with an automatic gearbox. The Toyota Aristo fuel tank capacity is 75 liters with average fuel consumption of 11.4 l/100 km and approximately 1L to 8.8 combined.
