The Toyota Supra is a grand tourer and sports coupe car which was first introduced in 1978 by Toyota. Its first 4 generations were released in 1978 till 2002 and in 2019, the 5th generation Toyota Supra was reintroduced. 

Before the fifth-generation Supra was released, Toyota was already tuning up the 3.0L inline-six turbocharged engine producing 335 hp to 382 hp. They also add a four-cylinder model powered by a 2.0L inline-4 turbocharged engine producing 255 hp.

The 5th generation Supra offers an imposing acceleration figure of 0-60 mph in 3.7 secs and 0-100 mph in 9.5 secs which makes it a match against the Porsche Cayman GTS, the BMW M2, and the Chevy Camaro Competition. It’s even faster than the previous fourth-generation Supra that was fitted with a sequentially-turbocharged inline-6 producing power of 320 hp. The 5th generation Supra 3.0L earns a fuel economy of 22 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined. The six-cylinder engine delivers a highway rating of 34 mpg. With two turbocharged engines: a four-cylinder and six-cylinder which both are available in rear-wheel drive with 8-speed automatic transmission. 

Infotainment and Driver-Assistance Features

It offers a comfortable cabin with a sporty-looking design and the cargo area can be opened via a hatchback and is spacious for a couple of luggage. Much of the interior is the same as the BMW Z4 like the switchgear controls and BMW infotainment.

The Toyota Supra offers an 8.8-inch central display unit with a reskinned version of BMW’s iDrive, both navigation and Apple CarPlay are available yet don’t offer android auto, and an optional 12-speaker JBL audio system.

Other features include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and high-beam headlamps.
