Sleep is very important. We all need it to survive and live in a healthy way. It helps one feel good and also makes the body as well as brain function in the correct way. There are some people who do not have any issue falling asleep. But many find it tough falling and also remaining asleep across the night. If you find it difficult and hope to get sleep without getting asleep, then continue reading on to find out more.

Have a routine

You should aim to go to sleep as well as get up at one time daily. If you do this, it aids in setting the body’s internal clock along with optimizing the quality of sleep. Pick a bedtime when you often feel tired. This will lead to you not tossing and turning much. When one gets sufficient amounts of sleep, then they will wake up naturally.

Try not to sleep in

You should avoid sleeping in, also on the weekends. If you wish to make up for some late night, choose a daytime nap instead of sleeping in. In this way, you can pay off the sleep debt without negatively affecting the natural sleep-wake rhythm.

Nap smartly

Napping is a preferable way to make for lost sleep, but if you have difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep at night, then napping can actually make things worse. Try and limit your naps to only 15 to 20 minutes. This should be in the afternoon. In this way, you can go to sleep at night without having difficulty falling asleep.

Avoid after-dinner drowsiness

When you feel sleepy much before your bedtime, do something mildly stimulating, like washing dishes, calling someone, getting clothes ready for tomorrow, etc. When you give in to the drowsiness, then you may actually wake up later during the night. After this, you may have trouble falling back to sleep.

Exercise regularly

With the help of regular exercise, you can improve sleep quality as well as duration. But, exercising immediately prior to bedtime may have a stimulating impact on the body. This should be avoided. You should try and finish exercising around three hours before going to sleep.

Eat well before going to sleep

Do not eat and drink immediately before going to bed. If you eat a later dinner and snack before sleeping, this can activate your digestive system. It can keep you up. Those people who experience gastroesophageal reflux or GERD and heartburn, it is important not to eat and drink immediately before bed as this may make the symptoms worse. If you drink many fluids before going to bed, this can overwhelm your bladder, needing you to often visit the bathroom. This will disturb sleep and may make it tough falling back to sleep.

The sleeping environment should be comfortable

This is necessary if you want to go to sleep without falling asleep. Temperature, lighting, as well as noise,  need to be controlled so as to allow the bedroom to be conducive to falling as well as staying asleep. The bed needs to feel comfortable as well.

Consult the doctor

If you are finding it tough sleeping, then consult the doctor. You may have some other problem like sleep apnea. The doctor may give you some medication to help you sleep.

Medication for sleep

If you want to get sleep without getting asleep, then medication may help. This comes in custom medicine boxes which needs to have instructions on use. Cardboard medicine boxes should be used as they are strong.

Medication should be kept in something strong. Cardboard medicine box wholesale companies know the importance of this. Healthy boxes are needed to put medication in so that it remains safe.
