‘Get Jack Reacher’ on HBO India

Jack Reacher... This name reminds many of the main protagonists of Lee Child’s famous novel series. And as famous as this character is, the most amazing thing is that now this Jack Reacher guy is a movie character. Yes, rejoice people!

Those of you who are the big fans of Lee Child’s novel should pay a little more attention. Coz the one who is the ‘Jack Reacher’ in the motion pictures is none other but Tom Cruise. Awesome, isn't it? I say... way too awesome.

Okay... for those who don’t have any idea who this Reacher guy is, here’s a little info. Jack Reacher is a famous fictional character who is a former Major in the United States Army Military Police Corps. He quits the US Army at age 36 and roams around and takes odd jobs and other cases like investigating suspicious situations. And that’s pretty much the concept of the movie here.

But as we are talking about the movie here, so this flick is basically based on Lee Child’s ‘One Shot’. This is the ninth book in the Jack Reacher series. And like every other Child novel, this one too is also a crime thriller. The title is pretty interesting... ‘One shot, one kills’. Now can you guess the story?

The story is basically targets a military sniper who shots five people randomly. As mysterious as it sounds, this is not even the beginning. The real thrill comes when instead of confessing his crime, he writes ‘Get Jack Reacher’ on a piece of paper. I’m sure now you absolutely want to know what happens next. For that, you should definitely watch it as I am not going to reveal the whole suspense.

Talking about the cool facts that kept coming around about the movie, Tom Cruise who plays Jack Reacher did all the driving stunts himself. Wow, right? Also, coincidentally Cruise was quite familiar with all the scenes beforehand. His previous film ‘A Few Good Men’ drew some references from this same novel. Seems like he really fits in for the role!  Well, personally I would only want Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. And that’s solely on the basis of the kind of acting he has done. Well Thank God...They didn't cast the likes of Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Vince Vaughn, Jamie Foxx and Will Smith... whom FYI they were thinking to cast. I’m glad they chose Tom Cruise. And so would you once you watch this flick.

And the cool thing is this movie is going to come on HBO India. That just doubles up all the awesomeness, right? So, don’t forget to catch it and have a fun time Jack Reacher.
