Get A Kickstart With A Personal Trainer

4 Reasons Why Should Get A Kickstart From A Personal Trainer

If you have been committed to fitness for a few months and haven’t seen any results, it’s to time to consider taking a personal trainer on board. If you have been putting in the time, then the money would certainly be worth the investment.

Regardless of your specific goals, there are a variety of reasons for why people start working with a personal trainer. Most people want to lose weight, gain muscle and look as best they can in front of the mirror.

Others want to simply feel better rather than focus on aesthetics. As they age, they want to maintain mobility, flexibility and improve cardiovascular health for a better quality of life. No matter what your objectives are, if you have never acquired a fitness professional before, then it would be best to get professional advice.

Here are a number of reasons for why you should start working with a fitness specialist:

1-You’re Don’t Know Where To Begin

When you entering the gym for the first time, you may be completely unaware of where to begin and how to sequence a workout. Safety is the first objective before getting into a vigorous session.

A workout should always start with a prepared warm up that lasts between 5-10 minutes, starting with a light continuous aerobic exercise, followed by dynamic stretching. This is done to avoid injury. Dynamic Stretching is performed to mimic the movements you will be doing in resistance training. This is to alert your body and not pull or tear a muscle.

2-You’re Don’t Know How To Structure Your Workouts

Once you have warmed up, you need to know how to structure your workouts when considering your fitness goals. If your goals are to build muscle and put on size, then you don’t want to be committing to cardio for too long. If your goals are to lose weight, you will need to add resistance training to your session, but also need to keep your heart rate elevated to get a calorie burn.

It is best to train for approximately 45-60 minutes and keep the session continuous, without too many rest times. Take 1-minute rest between each set or exercise. This is to stop your heart rate dropping so low that it becomes hard to lose weight.

3- You’re Not Motivated Enough

If you don’t feel enthusiastic about fitness and not pushing yourself hard enough, then having a professional trainer can also change your mindset. Most people don’t start out liking fitness. Once improvements are made and it becomes a habit, that mentality becomes different. Fitness changes your psychology and eventually builds self-motivation. It simply takes time.

4- You Don’t Know How To Cooldown

Making sure you cool down the right way is essential. This is important for preventing injury and recovering correctly before the next workout.  This involves a light aerobic routine to begin, but much lighter than the warm up. You can walk on the treadmill at a moderate pace or go very easy on the exercise bike.  This routine should be performed for about 5 minutes. Then at the very end, you should conduct about 10 minutes of static stretching. This is different to dynamic stretching.

Static stretching involves holding a stretch in a isolated position for roughly 20-40 seconds. It indicates to your body that you are finishing your routine for the day and returning to normal state. This type of stretching should not be done in the middle of a workout as you could end up getting injured.
