Patiently await your turn

When someone has asked you to host a webinar for them, they obviously have planned an allotted time for you. This does not mean that the moment you walk in, you will be directed to the stage and start saying your piece. Always consider the bigger picture and await your turn patiently.

Respect everyone’s time

Instead of throwing your weight around and being difficult, offer your help and ask if you might assist in fixing something. This will not only make you come across as a considerate person, and chances are that people may actually give you the extra brownie points.

So instead of sitting in a corner and fiddling with your phone, talk to the people who are present in the room. Obviously do not do so when someone else is talking or presenting their piece, but do it in between in a break or before and after the event. If possible carry your business card around and exchange contact details. When people offer you their cards, take a moment to look at it before sliding it into your pockets.

Be prepared for a few glitches

Technology can sometimes be tricky.
