Ford VCM 2 VCM II IDS Good and Bad Experience Report

by Kessktag K. ECU Chip Tuning Tools News & Guide
For Ford Mazda DIY Lovers, the VCM 2 VCM II will not be a strange diagnostic tool. Yeah, for the time being, Ford Mazda VCM 2 VCM II IDS was the hottest scanner diagnostic tool for ford and mazda cars for its great performance at cheap affordable price.

And following is my personal experience for using VCM II,not so professional, just for sharing.

VCM 2 Experience Summary

1.Ford VCM II VCM 2 IDS has USB Version and WIFI Version, but from my own experience, the  Ford VCM II Full Chip USB Version is the best version, more stable to use.

2.Dont install Ford and Mazda software in the same PC.

3. The package already with installed software CDs,so use itself software is best.

4.If you want Repgrogram PCM in old cars, you better use VCM I interface. VCM2 is not good for it.

VCM 2 VCM II IDS Diagnostic Good Experience

1.Decent quality, used top quality and stable Full Chip PCB.
2.Connected via OBDII port, very easy to use.
3.works with the Ford IDS diagnostics to provide full dealer diagnostic capabilities for most 16 pin cars 1996-2015, including for all new 2013 vehicles.
4.Supports Ford and Mazda cars perfectly without any problems.
5.Multi languages Supported.
6.Support VMM and CFR.
7.Multi-functions supported, can do diagnose, scan, airbag, key programming, ecu programming, PCM programming via OBD2 port

VCM II Not So Good Experience

1. Only For Cars, not for Ford Trucks.

2. For Mazda Diagnostic, you have to downgrade the firmware from V101 to V94 (the downgrade method is simple ).

3. Need Change your computer time to 2016.1.1.

To be honest, in whole, the OEM Ford VCM II VCM 2 IDS is a great tool for ford and mazda diagnosis, easy to use, stable performance, cheap affordable price and VMM and CFR supported and can do other functions as well. So,if you are looking for a Ford Mazda Code Reader, then you can buy VCM 2 VCM II For Ford Mazda 2 in 1.
