Whilst some may choose to bravely battle the world of travel alone, lugging an over-stuffed suitcase through dusty streets only to find that, well, their hotel isn’t exactly what it was marketed as on the brochure. It seems that, the world of irresponsible and badly-planned travel is for the young so, what are the people who’ve experienced ‘Delhi Belly’ supposed to do? Well, you head to a resort of course! Why would you want to spend loads shipping the entire family to a foreign location for a couple of weeks only for them to decide that the food and activities are not to their liking when you could enjoy what Tennessee has to offer? Gatlinburg in Tennessee is surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains and, if your family is into the outdoors, there’s no better place in the USA. You can partake in loads of different activities such as hiking, horse-riding, white-water rafting and fishing.

Whilst Hawaii isn’t exactly Europe, it’s not exactly shabby. Lahaina was once the capital of Hawaii and, it still behaves accordingly. It’s got brilliant beaches for the beach-lovers who lurk in your family but, if you happen to have a few adventure-lovers, you can always pack them off on a hiking tour through the West Maui Forest Reserve for a few days whilst you soak up some of the suns glorious rays.

Who hasn’t been to California at some point in their life? Well, resorts in California just got better. Why not visit Palm Springs which is located right at the foot of the beauteous Mount San Jacinto Mountains. It’s a beautiful place to recover your energy for a couple of weeks and, they’ve helpfully provided activities for both adventure-seekers and people who just want to relax before work or school starts again in earnest.
