Potassium Fertilizer

Potassium fertilizers are usually applied in sandy soil to enhance its productivity by fulfilling the requirement of potassium content. There are two different varieties of these fertilizers including sulfate of potash and muriate of potash. In Sulfate of potash, potassium chloride is treated with magnesium sulphate to get a product that can be used to enrich soil while in Muriate of potash, crystallized potash is applied to fertilize plants.

Organic Fertilizer

Unlike synthetic, organic fertilizers are made using biodegradable materials including peat moss, animal manure, seaweed, compost, mineral deposits and various other ingredients occurring naturally in environment. They can be made from number of sources depending on the chemical requirement of your garden. Organic Fertilizers do not provide quick fix, when beneficial organisms break the content of the fertilizer, then the nutrients inside then reaches the plant and enhances its growth.

Inorganic or synthetic fertilizer

These fertilizers are usually used in large fields because they are cheaper in price and can be produced on a large level. They are usually found in granular form and possess ammonia diluted with water. It has been observed that long time use of inorganic fertilizers lead to the mineral depletion in soil.
