Festival means gathering, enjoyment and celebration with family and friends. Today, i am gonna tell you some interesting and famous festival celebrated in canada.

1. Celebration of Light:- It is known for the summer signature event in Vancouver. The city’s annual free fireworks tradition held over three evenings at English Bay in the month of july. With the fireworks themselves, the Celebration of Light kicks off each evening with an accompanying music festival down at Sunset Beach.

2. The Calgary Stampede:- The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition and festival held every July in Calgary. It is ten day long celebration with mid day rides and bucking broncos.

3. Edmonton Folk Festival:- The Edmonton Folk Music Festival is an annual four-day outdoor music event held the second weekend of August in Edmonton.It is one of the world’s biggest and best attended folk festivals. This outdoor event attracts folk musicians from around the world offering traditional and contemporary folk music.

4. Toronto International Film Festival:- The Toronto International Film Festival is one of the largest publicly attended film festivals in the world, attracting over 480,000 people annually.

5. Winterlude,Ottawa:- It Is a unique and annual winter festival of snow and ice sculpture competitions, skating, snow playgrounds, and sporting events. It's held at various locations, including Confederation Park, Jacques Cartier Park, Rideau Canal Skateway and downtown Ottawa.

6. Just for Laugh:- It is a comedy festival held in month of July it is the largest international comedy festival in the world. It brings close to 2 million people together to celebrate comedy in gala performances, theatre, club shows, comedic films, open-air shows, television specials and an industry marketplace.

7. Promenade Days:- It is a summer tradition for locals and tourists too. The highlighting feature of this festival is live entertainment, midway, street performers & market, patios, food, shopping experience, rides etc.

8. Parksville Beach Festival:- It is an official qualifying event  for the World Championship of Sand Sculpting. Masters of sand sculptures come from all over the world  and participate in this event. This is remarkable world class competition. Sculptors have 30 hours over four days to create their masterpieces from just sand and water.

9. Cavendish Beach Music Festival:-  It is the largest multi-day outdoor music festival held in mid of July. Every july more than 70,000 visitors come to attend this festival. Its highlights is country music, camping and dining.

10. Elvis Festival :- It is an annual event celebrating the music and the legend of Elvis Presley held in early January.This is event is celebrated and to give the tribute to the king of rock and roll.
