FEAR OF GOD IN MARRIAGES

The journey to a successful marriage begins with a step which is called THE FEAR OF GOD..

There is no philosopher who can prove that there is a marriage without a fight,argument,differences,issues e.t.c. The only marriage which is averagely perfect is that with a fear of God.

WHAT IS MARRIAGE?

There are several ways to define what marriage is but the simple best definition is 'marriage is the union between a man and a woman agreeing to become a husband and a wife'.

the bible also further says ' Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh'. Gen. 2:24 NKJV


WHEN TO CONSIDER IF HE/SHE FEARS GOD

That's a very good question.Many people forget the importance of the major part of pre marriage stages, which includes;

1. friendship
2. selection period
3. courtship

these three steps are very crucial and can make or mar your marriage if not given adequate concern and reasoning.

my dear brothers and sisters, this is where it becomes so crucial to fear God.

When you are in either of the pre marriage stages, kindly watch if your partner/friend fears God.

How do i know if he/she fears God?

If he/she fears God, he wont do the following:

1. he/she wont nag at you.
2. he/she will easily forgive you.
3. he/she wont lie to you or anyone
4. he/she wont drink.
5. he/she will be a devoted disciple of Christ
6. he/she will be conscious of sins not against you but God.
7. he/she will do only things that pleases God and not men
8. he/she will be a godly adviser and good time manager
9. he/she will be humble and obedient
10. he/she will love to hear from God before making decisions on anything including marrying you.
11. he/she will respect your parent
12. he/she will not ask for sex before marriage
13. he/she will be a giver
14. he/she will love to study more about God.

WHY DO I NEED TO CONSIDER ALL THIS BEFORE MARRIAGE?

Any lady or gentle man who hasn't exhibited all the above stated features may likely become a cause of marital clash and divorce in marriage.

Any man or woman who doesn't fear God will always do what will provoke and frustrate the other partner, which as usual will lead to chaos in the home.

NOTE: any home that lacks the fear of God lacks peace and has no sustainability. the bible says, 'The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding'. Proverbs 9:10KJV
