Eyelash extensions are an add-on to the existing eyelashes. It is a rather painless process where eye lashes (artificial) are added to the natural lashes. These artificial eyelashes are organic and lightweight which make them safe to wear and are hardly noticeable. This type of treatment enhances the way the eyelashes look by improving their length and making them look thicker. These lashes are also curled so ladies always have that appearance that suggests they have walked out of a beauty shop.

The benefits of eyelash extensions

There are many advantages of eyelash extensions but most of these benefits are cosmetic. For example, adding these eyelashes make the eyelashes appear longer and thicker while maintaining their natural texture. Due to thicker lashes, the eyes also appear fuller and more open as if they have been expanded. This attracts a lot of attention to the eyes. How long are eyelash extensions valid for?

Today, there are countless types of artificial eyelash extensions to choose from. Every type of extension has its own set of weaknesses and strengths as far as how long it takes to apply them and how long they continue to remain fresh until it's time to be removed. It also depends on how fast the natural eyelashes grow and then fall out. Generally, eyelashes take 30 to 60 days with one or two of them dropping off almost every day. That being said these eyelash extensions will last for around four weeks and so they'll have to get them returned every 30 days.

What to be mindful of before and after treatment

Before adding artificial eyelashes, always make sure that the eyelashes are clean, this means that they shouldn't have any makeup residue, oil or dirt which may damage the adhesive. Once the process has been completed people are advised to refrain from washing the face for up to four hours since contact with water will damage the adhesive. Many beauticians will also counsel, that people keep away from, bathing and pools for a couple of days post their extension process. Ladies are also counselled to stay away from eyelash curlers since they tend to split the eyelashes plus they do not need to curl their lashes because they are already curled. If they want to use mascara, ensure it is a water-based one.

While most people will be fit for eyelash extensions, a few with really short or weak lashes will not be fit. Some infections and health issues may not allow people to receive these types of lash extensions. The line provided by bottom lashes, still, will aid open your eyes, making your eyes look bigger without being over the top. Lastly, by adding length to the eyelashes, the bottom lashes help your face appear slimmer than before.

Most people can get bottom lash extensions, but there are some quirks. For instance, if the lashes are sparse, bottom lashes will highlight the inadequacy, resulting in unsatisfactory results.
