Eyebrow Fillers, Powders, Gels - What Should I Use?
Eyebrows are a pretty big
deal in the beauty world. The right eyebrows can frame your face and change
your look dramatically. But to get it symmetrically right is a task. From the
fullness of the eyebrows to the arch, there are a lot of concerns when it comes
to eyebrow grooming.
The oversupply of products
available in the market certainly doesn't help. Eyebrow pencils, eyebrow
powders, gels, liquids…where do you even begin?
Well, it’s impossible to
cover all these in one go. Let’s just focus on powders, and gels. Keeping in
mind no one product fits all, below is a breakdown of what one should use
depending on what one wants to achieve.
Eyebrow
Fillers
When we think about eyebrow fillers we think about eyebrow
pencils, pens, and markers. If you’re overly picky about how your eyebrows
should look and want hair-like precision, you should consider eyebrow pencils
and markers. The key to a perfectly natural looking eyebrow is starting with
very light strokes and moving your way up by layering if needed.
Go for eyebrow markers if
you have very light or sparse eyebrows. They’re super pigmented and come with a
pencil-like precision. Also, a great option if you want your eyebrows to last
longer or have no time for regular touch-ups. Awaken the artist inside you and
let the product work its magic.
Brow
Powder
As the name suggests brow
powder is an eyebrow
powder that is used to enhance your brows. Consider this
as an eye shadow kit for brows. The powder is used to create an effect
underneath the hair to make it look fuller, luscious, and more defined. The
shade of the eyebrow powder varies depending upon the type of skin and eyebrow
hair colour. Usually, eyebrow powders come with an applicator that helps with
the smooth application of the product.
Eyebrow powders are easy to
use, casually glide the applicator over your brows, layer if necessary, and
work your way through until you get the desired result. So if you have a sparse
area to cover or want more of a soft and natural-looking finish, brow powder
should be your go-to.
Brow
Gel
Remember hair gels?
something everyone has used at least once to tame that one baby hair or
sometimes hairstyles. The same goes for brows. Brow gels are essentially used
to tame thick brows or simply hold the hair in place for a clean look. You can
also just dab a little bit of this product and be done, without having to use
any pencil or such. It can be used as a final product to lock the look too!
If you want a groomed look,
have thick eyebrows and want to tame the beast, or simply hold the look in
place, go for brow gel. There are a lot of options available in the market
today; identify your budget and you should easily get one within that range.
