Its simple drag-and-drop interface allows for easy management of opportunities, scheduling meetings, planning next steps, and logging phone calls. The platform also provides address books, preferences, and support for multiple addresses, simplifying communication with customers. Sales team performance indicators can be quickly analysed through a user-friendly dashboard, showcasing key metrics. A new and more intuitive User Interface:

In this section, you'll see a dashboard that displays all the sales processes (Pipelines) in the CRM database. These pipelines are grouped based on their current stage, like "New," "Qualified," "Proposal," and "Won." If you want to add new stages, click the "+Stage" button. To create new pipelines, click "New," and if you want to generate leads, hit "Generate Leads."

 

Now, Odoo's updated interface has replaced the "Action" menu with a new icon called "Pipelines" on the "My Pipelines" dashboard. Here, you can import records, access knowledge, create dashboards, and work with spreadsheets by clicking the "Pipelines" settings icon. To download pipeline data, simply click the "Import records" button.

 

Add Pipelines to Articles:

Include Pipelines in an article by utilising the "Knowledge" feature. Users can either embed Pipeline data or check out an article. Use the "Insert view in article" and "Insert link in article" choices to incorporate a page view and a link in the article, respectively. To add an article to a page view, simply click the "Insert view in article" button, which will open a pop-up window for further actions. 

 

With the "New" option, you can either craft a new article or select one from the current collection. This allows you to preview a screenshot of the chosen page view. This feature empowers you to generate various content types like articles, notes, references, and more.

 

Utilise Odoo's "Share" feature to send a specific article through email and the web. Additionally, you can insert a link into an article using the same method demonstrated earlier.

 

Dashboard and Spreadsheet: 

To include specific pipelines on the dashboard, choose "Dashboard" from the main menu. After adding them, make sure to refresh the window. For easy access to pipeline data, click on the "Spreadsheet" option to download the spreadsheet.

 

Search View and Filters:

In Odoo 17, the search view is now centrally located on the screen. The latest software version introduces a new "Search" tab, merging filtering, grouping, and favorites options into one tab for a streamlined search process and a more professional interface.

 

New Form Features:

  • Open an Activity Configuration form to view fields like Customer Name, Email, Phone, and Tags.
  • Smart tab is now near Pipeline Stages tab at the top.
  • After filling form fields, "Save" icon becomes "My Activity" button.
  • Odoo 16 platform features now accessed through "My Activity."
  • Perform various form functions, including Archiving, Deleting, Duplicating, Dashboard, Adding Properties, Marking Lost, Sending Email, Sending SMS, Forwarding to Partners, and Enriching.
  • “Internal Notes,” “Extra Information,” and “Assigned Partner” remain unchanged on the form tab.

 

Add Products from Catalog:

  • Odoo users can add products directly from the Products catalog in the Odoo database.
  • Use the “Catalog” feature in “Order lines” to select products, search and filter in the “Products” window, and return to the configuration form.
