Wherever you get to travel to, having some essential equipment and tools can not only save your life but it can make life much easier. whether you are a frequent traveller or not, having close at hand some useful and essential things can make your life much easier and sometimes even save a life whether it’s your life or someone else’s. One of the things that you have very likely thought about by now is a first aid kit. Whereas a first aid kit is very important for treating injuries, it should have the right equipment in order for it to be very effective. Having just some of these essentials can go a long way to saving a situation that might have easily become worse. For example, having antiseptic wipes and some band aid wont tax you much in terms of carrying weight but when someone gets a cut, and it can happen anywhere and at any time, having something to clean out the wound and then to wrap the wound can prevent infection and excessive bleeding which can cause further problems.

When on a trip, whether it’s a  Baltic cruise or a back packing trip across Europe, having a map is a handy thing to have. These days you can have the convenience of carrying a mobile phone app as your map or a dedicated electronic GPS device. However, there is something about carrying an actual printed paper map that can be quite satisfying. As long as you are able to conveniently carry the paper map conveniently on your person, you can rest assured that you will be able to find your way anywhere. You won’t have to think about depleted batteries or a malfunctioning gadget. Along with your map, having a dedicated camera to capture all your precious moments as well as the picturesque views that you see is very important as well. Depending on the skills that you have and the quality of images that you want, different cameras will suit you better, and therefore I will leave that choice to you.
