The places of the tour includes the following:
Day 1: Leh – Chemrey(40kms):
After the early breakfast biking 36 kms south to the small hamlet of Karu from where we can turn North. The first half is at the ancient Chemrey monastery which is founded in 1645 A.D. by the King Sengge Namgyal. Here one can see the field and dwellings, Gompa houses with 29 priceless volumes of scriptures with text of pure silver and gold. Then have a ride of few kms for the next halt Thakthok Gompa which is built in the late 16th century above village Sakti near cave where Guru Padmasambhava meditated and then have yout camp in village for night.
Day 2 Chemrey – Tangtse:
On the next day after having the breakfast in morning start ascent to Chang La Pass which is 5320m/ 17,449ft. This pass has amazing views of the Ladakh range and Nubra Valley Mountains. This rough track takes to the small hamlet of Durbuk and then Tangtse village. Camp here for a night after your ride.
Day 3 Tangtse – Pangong (35kms):
This ride makes your visit to the village of Luking which is one the shores of Pangong. This track takes to a landscape of the spectacular barren mountains on the vast plain with small green patches and glistening streams.
Day 4: Pangong Lake:
Ride up to the next village named Spangmik and spend day by watching bird or simply getting the peace.
Day 5 Spangmik to Durbuk:
After the breakfast just ride back to the Furbuk village and camp overnight.
Day 6 Durbuk to Karu:
Just then, ride to the Chang ka and descend back into indus valley and reach manalu -Leh highway named Karu.
Day 7 Karu to Leh:
After having the breakfast ride back to Leh which is almost 45kms from Karu and explore the Stok Palace and museum which is in between.
