Visa requirements for those interested in living and working in Abu Dhabi are much less intensive than those in the other neighboring countries of the Middle East. To get a Dubai tourist visa , the process is very straightforward and there are many agencies that can help make the process easier. There are many types of visas and the eligibility criteria for most of them are different.

Tourist Visas

Most people do not need to get a visabeforehand for visiting UAE. If you belong to a country that is included in the GCC or if your nation is included in the list compiled by the UAE for this very reason, you do not have to arrange for a visa before visiting Abu Dhabi. USA, UK and all western European countries are in this list.

If you require a visit visa, you must be sponsored by a resident of UAE or by a company based in UAE.

These sponsored visas last for duration of sixty days and in many cases you can get them renewed for asmall fee.

Multi-Entry Tourist Visas

If you visit UAE frequently for business issues, you should consider getting a multi-entry visa. For this you need to get a standardvisit visa and then once you are in Abu Dhabi, you can apply for a multi-entry visa. This visa is valid for duration of six months and you can extend your every stay to a maximum of thirty days within this duration.

You should find out if you are eligible for a visa for visiting Dubai that lasts for a longer duration as they are available for some nations.

Residence VISAs

If you wish to get a residence visa, you must either be sponsored by an employer or a family member.

Employer Sponsorship

For this you must have a sponsor who will then help you get an entry permit first. Another eligibility requirement that you mustfulfill is that youmust show a medical certificate proving that you are medically fit. After presenting this medical certificate to your employer, you can then get your labor card.

Family Sponsorship

If you have a valid employment visa, you will be able to sponsor your family. However, this process takes time and therefore you must be prepared for a long wait before you get a residence visa for your family. For being eligible to sponsor your family you must fulfill these requirements:

To get a Dubai visa, your salary must be at least 4000 AED or 3000 AED.

You must get an accommodation allowance.

You should have a tenancy contract that proves that you have a housing that is your own and is not shared.

If you wish to sponsor your kids, remember that they must be below 18 years of age. You can sponsor your kids above this age if they are enrolled in some full time education institute in the UAE before getting a UAE VISA.

Women will be able to sponsor only their immediate family if they have a residency visa as a teacher, engineer, doctor, nurse or some other professional in the medical industry.

To sponsor your parents, you must have an even larger average monthly income. You must also present proof that there is no one else to take on the responsibility of your parents in the home country
