Every field of work requires some tools and equipment that would make the work easier for the user. A person whose everyday work involves working with electrical gadgets, should possess a set of equipment that is essential for an electrician to carry out his job safely, effectively, and to an excellent standard.

Electrical equipment is required for repair or improvement in the house as well. For most residential purposes very basic hand tools such as hammer, tape measure, and screwdrivers are required. However, electrical tools like fish tape, flashlights, and voltmeters are used by professionals who deal with electrical gadgets daily. Most of these electrical tools come in handy and are easily available at most home centers, hardware stores, electrical supply stores, and online retailers.

The electrical tools that are a must-have are as follows:

1) Pliers:

Pliers come in varieties of types, depending on the purpose of the work. The side-cutting or diagonal pliers are mainly used for wire cutting and their cutting edge goes to the tip of the pliers and comes in handy to trim wires in tight places. If an electrician possesses a set of do-it-all pliers, they can cut and twist wires at the same time with the squared-off tip and grip. Pliers are also used for plumbing work at home.

2) Tape measure:

A standard tape measure is used for all kinds of field measurements, such as setting heights for switches and outlets and marking surfaces for cutouts. While working with wiring, it is essential to know exact measurements when cutting and stripping. That is when the tape measure serves this purpose.

3) Hammers:

A hammer can be used to secure electrical boxes equipped with nail-on brackets to wall studs and in fixing other framing members in a home. It is also needed to drive wire staples when anchoring new electric cables to framing members. These are especially important if you are working on construction sites, and can be used to remove nails and wood pieces.

4) Screwdrivers:

Almost everyone will have a screwdriver or nut driver in their toolbox. Whether it’s removing and installing cover plates, switches, or other devices, they will always come in handy. Some screwdrivers are also available with insulated handles for better safety when doing electrical work.

5) Multimeter:

Checking voltages and current is essential in any electrical job. A multimeter is an all-in-one device used to measure voltages, current, and resistance in an electrical circuit and can help in locating power fluctuation causes like shoddy wiring.

6) Flashlight:

A pro electrician knows very well that proper lighting is a key to any electrical job. Electrical repair and improvement work involves a lot of dark places such as attics and basements. Therefore, a flashlight can save the day when lighting conditions on the job site are not good.

7) Level:

While installing light fixtures, finding precise points for placement is the key. Therefore, a standard level helps electricians ensure fixtures, screws, and other installations are placed exactly where they need to be.

8) Electric drill:

Electricians need to disassemble installed hardware to access wiring and other electrical components and install new lighting fixtures. An electric drill makes this task easier and allows professionals to affix professional bits for industry-specific purposes.

9) Fish tape:

It is used to pull solid wire conductors through metal or PVC conduit. There is a cable lube available to help in pulling the wire through the conduit. Therefore, it is useful while making wiring improvements such as adding or extending circuits.

10) Coax connecter:

A coax connector links the cable to devices and protects the cable from shredding.
These were the tools that ease out the job of working at construction sites and homes. Hoyoma is one of the best brands providing these electrical tools and Best Asah Marketing is one of the leading HOYOMA electrical tools suppliers in the Philippines.
