Eid Al Adha – A Holy Festival Of Sacrifice

Eid al-Adha which means Sacrifice Feast and also called as Bakr-Eid is a holy festival of Muslims. It is considered holier than Eid-al-Fitr. It honors the faith of Ibrahim in God. As an act of submission to God’s Command, Ibrahim gets ready to sacrifice his only son, but before he cuts his neck, Angel Jibra’il shows up and informs him that his sacrifice has been accepted by god. He saw a dead lamb which was slaughtered. God was testing the willingness of Ibrahim and he passed it.
This traditional festival is celebrated worldwide. Till date followers, follow the actual customs. Following is the list of things Muslims are recommended to do in preparation of Eid al-Adha.
