Easy and Awesome Halloween Decorations for Your Homes
Halloween is the time of the year where you can gruesomely
decorate your homes and still manage to stand out in the crowd, or in this
case, make your yard stand out from the rest of the neighborhood. It is the
time of the year where you can creatively decorate your homes without
necessarily having to spend too much. A spooky scarecrow, old mannequins hanged
upside down or crucified on your yard will cost you almost nothing but will
definitely make your home a talk of the town.
You can create awesome yet cheap
Halloween decorations for your homes without breaking the bank. Here are
some easy, painless but horrifying yard and indoor home decorations you can
pull off for Halloween 2016.
Glowing eyes
Give your homes a spooky glow by placing spooky glowing eyes
on your bushes, on tree branches and several dark areas at home. Simply use old
towel paper rolls, cut out different eye shapes and then place colored glowing
sticks inside. It would be better to paint your tower paper rolls with black
for a more detailed glow for your colored glowing sticks.
Eyes in a Tree
This is a popular decoration for trees in your yard and can
be easily made over the weekend. Simply get a big rounded white beach ball, or
have an old beach ball painted in white. Glue the eyes, cut out from paper or
plastic if possible onto the beach ball. The hardest part would be climbing up
the tree and putting the eyeballs in place. You can ask Dad or big brother to
help you out with this.
Horrific mannequins
You can use worn out dolls or mannequins and bring them back
to life to scare your neighbors this Halloween. Simply apply red paint to your
mannequins’ clothes to make them look bloody and worn down, paint bruises and
wounds onto their body and then hang them upside down a tree or tie them near
your front door. You can even add a contraption that will make their arms or
legs move when a button is pressed indoors.
Monstrous entryways
This is also becoming one of the trends when it comes to
Halloween decorations this year. Simply create monster eyes and place them
above your entry ways. Add fangs on the outline of your entry ways so that your
entrances would look like a mouth of a monster. Kids and adults alike will
enjoy taking pictures in their Halloween costumes in this area of your home.
Floating ghosts
Simply mix glue and water in a bowl and then soak a piece of
cheesecloth. Mix them well and then
rinse the excess water on your cheese cloth. In a pot, place three balloons.
One balloon should be larger than the two and place it on the center to serve
as the head of the ghost. The two other balloons can be smaller and places on
each side of the bigger balloon. Cover this with your cheese cloth. Paste eyes
for your ghosts to accessorize. Allow it to dry under the sun. After a few
hours, you can pop the balloons underneath and then gently pick your hardened
floating ghost.
You can definitely do all of these over the weekend and have
your homes Halloween ready in no time. Gather the rest of the family and make
Halloween decorating a fun bonding activity for the whole family.
