Early Childhood Development Apps That helps Parents

Technology has paved the way to interact, capture, and teach children with more and more thrilling instruments, putting education on shaky ground. It's difficult to know where to start with so many resources and applications available. Many "educational" apps have very little education, although many "entertainment" apps can be very educational. But, how do you know which techniques are suitable for your pedagogy and which ones aren't?

We wish to understand which apps have the evidence-based experience, so we polled our Storypark group of teachers, ECE experts, parents, and kids to find out. All we spoke with seems to want more best practice applications that are positive that need parental involvement to encourage and prompt projects and suggestions for kids. The best apps don't give out prizes, gold stars, or medals; instead, they focus on an internalized open-ended development and exploration method. With this in mind, we've discovered.

Apps for Early Childhood Development: 10 Must-Have Apps:

Tiny Tap – Free

This application is a lot of fun because it lets you make easy games out of pictures and sketches. There is absolutely too much that this software can do! Take images of common items and incorporate voiced-over queries like "show me the kid" to create your own i-spy games. Since you can be using personal images to make a story/game about the child's day, this software can be enjoyable even with very young children.

Collins Big Cat Books – Free

The Big Cat series consists of eight books, each of which is worth getting on your iPad, so there is something for everybody. Each of the Big Cat Stories is richly illustrated with vibrant, vivid illustrations that come to life when you read the novel. You should read the whole story yourself or make the lovely narrator read it to you. The best part of this app, though, is the "Plot Creator," which helps you to make up your own story using backgrounds and drawings from the novel. You will save the book for later reading or sharing by typing in text or recording your voice. Fantastic!

Somantics Free:

A lovely and straightforward software that helps users to explore and build through rhythmic touch and interaction. While this software was created to encourage, capture, and amplify the desires of young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and other communication disabilities, it now encourages every user to experience its streaming and repetitive screens. The apps are non-competitive, and consumers create their own goals, making them entirely open-ended.

MyStory $2.59

A lovely and easy storybook maker for kids that lets them create their own ebooks with images, art, and speech or sound recordings allows your imagination to run free! You should photograph your childhood storybook and capture your actual voice reading it with the assistance of a large human (even drawing on the illustrations). A child will listen to the "read-aloud" version of the story over and over after it has been recorded. Young readers should also film themselves reading their favorite storybook in their own voices. Stories can now be posted on every smartphone and emailed to friends and family thanks to new upgrades to the MyStory App.

Easy Xylophone Free

If you don't have a perfect xylophone, this might be a good substitute. Although playing a virtual xylophone does not have the same physical experience as having a different one, apps can be operated with headphones, making them a safer option for busy classrooms. This is a very basic app that even the smallest paws can use. Since the advertising can be annoying, it's worth paying $.99 to upgrade to the premium edition of this program.

Alpha Writer $2.99

With this adorable app developed by Montessori educators, the opportunities are limitless as you learn how to read, write, and pronounce phonetically. Alpha Writer is a fun way for young readers to create their own phonetic tales by pulling letters into place. Photographs of stories can be saved and submitted to e-portfolios. This game also has a fun phonics-based version of i-spy that can be played alone or in a group.

Doodle Cast for Kids $2.99

This clever software captures the child's voice as he or she is drawing, resulting in a brief, entertaining video. There are a variety of ways to get started, including themed models and voiced-over tips such as "what makes you feel happy?" and "what tastes yucky?" This software will be great for early storytelling because it tracks the child's speech and documents their process, which can then be shared in e-portfolios.

Little Things $2.99

A well-made i-spy game that makes for a perfect "quiet time" experience for people of all ages as you scan for various things on the screen, the soothing music and classic illustrations lull you into a quiet realm of missing artifacts. When an item is discovered, a rewarding sparkle of stars appears, and there are more difficult puzzles to solve as stages are completed. This software could be too complex for younger children to use without assistance from an adult, but it is an enjoyable game to play together in a quiet corner.
