Dragon Touch i10X Windows 10 Tablet 2-in-1 Notebook Review
If you are looking for a very well built Hybrid, this is Dragon Touch
i10X.. With the tablet attached to the keyboard it felt like a full
laptop!
There are several features I would like to mention about Dragon Touch i10X tablet before I talk about a few other things
1.) Full USB port - I tested the port with a printer, scanner, wireless USB bar code reader and a USB HDD.. The port performed GREAT.. I have yet to figure out what type of USB port it is, but I am thinking USB 2.0 due to it’s speed and its ability to charge.. The device manager says the controller is USB 3.0 but I don’t believe it is a full USB 3.0 port as my USB 3.0 HDD LED was only “green” and not “blue” meaning it was 2.0 speed. I am going to try and get a confirmation on the port speed
2.) Clip On Keyboard Case - I really prefer the clip on keyboard rather than bluetooth. Clip on Keyboards just seem to perform better and ultimately the tablet performs better with it’s “Native” keyboard
3.) 64 GB of memory - Tablet includes plenty of memory!! 64 GB far exceeds most of the Windows tablets on the market
4.) 2 GB of ram - Most tablets on the market like this only have 1 GB of ram.. I can really notice the performance difference of the extra GB of ram
Pros
1.) Performance - This tablet performs well.. It performs just as well as ANY full laptop!! The full USB port also allows this to act like full laptop.. I was able to run my POS (Point of Sale) software on this today along with a USB receipt printer.. The tablet offered plenty of performance for that!! During my downtime I was watching movies and tv shows from Amazon and Netflix
2.) Screen - This tablet offers an excellent screen.. It is VERY bright and HD.. It is crisp and clear
3.) Streaming Device - As a streaming device, this tablet works GREAT... Like I said, during my downtime today I was watching Netflix and Amazon.. When I was “working” I was listening to Spotify via the Windows App and Amazon Prime Music, again via the windows app and not the web player.. It worked GREAT!! The screen is wonderful for movies
4.) Keyboard Case - The keyboard case doubles as a very protective case! And they keyboard works much better than a bluetooth keyboard.. The touchpad started out kind of spotty but as with most touchpads, even on laptops, the more I used it the better it became.. The buttons on the touchpad are very good!! The keyboard feels GREAT in hand
5.) Sound - The built in speakers are great
6.) Wireless (Bluetooth and Wifi) - Both performed GREAT!!! I tested with a bluetooth keyboard and speaker.. Wifi held a very strong connection and worked wonderfully
7.) Printers - I used this with a USB printer and USB receipt printer.. Having a full USB port, I didn’t need any special cables or anything! I just plugged them directly to the tablet
8.) Full USB Port - No need for special cables.. Plug any USB device directly into the port
9.) Touchscreen - Performed GREAT.. It had no issues registering touches
10.) Windows 10 - I loved Windows 8.. Windows 10 is even better.. Yes it might take some getting used to but any “NEW” OS will.. It performs great on tablets and a hybrid like this it performs EVEN BETTER.. This is a FULL VERSION of windows 10 Home.. Not a stripped down “TABLET” version
11.) Includes a year of MS Office 365.. Now I am using my school account so I didn’t activate my year BUT IT asked if I wanted to.. Office 365 was already installed and works GREAT!!
12.) 5MP rear camera - Much better quality than most cameras on tablets.. It actually takes decent photos
13.) Front Facing Cam - Worked GREAT with Skype!!
14.) Internet Browser - This has the new MS Edge BUT I still don’t like Edge.. I downloaded Chrome and it works wonderfully!
15.) Mini HDMI port allows easy connectivity to my Mini Projector!! So now I have a mini solution for presentations!! I plugged each directly into each other via the mini HDMI port..
16.) The tablet is very well built.. Very heavy duty and feels like a premium product!! I am sure it will be offered at an excellent price!!
17.) Business Use - Word, Excel, Powerpoint are included for one year and this tablet is great running those apps.. Again, the integrated keyboard makes this a great tablet for business use
18.) The built in battery and my 8,000 mAH battery pack allowed this tablet to be used all day! Never plugged it into an outlet once!! The tablet itself lasted about 2 - 3 hours of heavy use and I had 30% battery left when I plugged it into my battery pack which allowed it to last the rest of the day
19.) Includes plenty of memory but it can even be expanded via micro SD
Overall: So far I am very impressed with Dragon Touch i10X tablet.. This KILLS my first and second generation MS Surface tablet.. I used this for both “Business” purposes and “Personal” purposes and for a windows tablet it performed GREAT for both uses.. It was like having a full laptop! Battery life is excellent and this tablet worked GREAT with every task I tried to perform with it!
