Doing Market Research Before You Spend Advertising Dollars!

Most of us that are self-employed do not want to spend the time or money to market our product or service, we rather just skip pass the marketing research and go directly to pay for advertising or even worst only use free advertising.

So what methods can we use to do market research?

• Surveys
  
• Polls
• Sponsor Events that may use our products or services
• Networking with others in the same field for seek out pros and cons

Make sure your research methods are effective.

• Surveys should not be more than 10 questions. Why? Because survey takers will get bored and tired when a survey is too long, you will risk getting fake answers as they just try to get thru it or they might give up all together.
• Polls should be short and to the point about 5 questions and also include an OTHER, NA or DON'T KNOW option, which ever is best fits the poll question.
