Does Radiator Colour Matter
The question whether colour matters when you buy radiators has been debated for years. White radiators are still the most often bought as they go with any décor and house builders tend to put these in new homes.
There has been talk that some colours, especially the lighter shades are more efficient when it comes to heating than darker shades.
If you have set your heart on anthracite designer radiators you need to know that the last coat of paint matters. If the radiator has been finished with a metallic coat of paint will emit less heat than one that has been finished with a non-metallic paint such as white lead.
However, it has also been found that the difference is very small and it should make no appreciable difference in fuel saved. It follows, therefore, if you like anthracite, go for it. If you are going for anthracite, it has also been shown that matte surfaces are better than glossy finishes.

Some households have taken the plunge and used this colour and other shades of grey to decorate their living area. It is a neutral colour which complements any coloured furnishings. You may think that it will make the area rather dark, but if you do it well, it can have a stunning effect.
It has to be said that darker colours are not really suitable for small spaces. However, if you should choose another neutral colour as the main theme, then anthracite designer radiators will be shown off to their full effect.
