Do We Need To Inform Google to Crawl or Index Our Website
In the starting when we are totally new and it is the first time to promote our website or blog we only focus on tricks with the help we promote our site without thinking about it is crawled or not by a Googlebot. Same the thing happen with those who are new in this field they just entered in the company and focus on several promotional task how it will be done, within a month they start familiar with the SEO environment and polish their self by practice on the off page tasks until they are not able to handle any SEO project individually and sometimes they take around 6 months or may be more but still they are not aware of the indexing and crawling process. Actually, they were not wrong because it generally happened with all, but for the time, it is important to collect all possible information by watching videos and reading blogs about the Google and its bots how they work, if you want to get success in the field. The question always arises in my mind before a year when I too new in the field that Google crawl my website itself or I do need to inform Google to come and crawl my site, I think you too confuse about the same if you are new. So let me clear that Googlebot almost crawl and index a new website, blog, page itself but for our satisfaction we should create an account on google webmaster then put a provided code into our site header. I am going to discuss with you some great way to get your new website discovered by Googlebot easily. The best thing is that all of the following will help you get standard referral traffic to your new website.
Create a sitemap – A sitemap basically is an XML document placed on your website server that lists each page of your site, so that it suggests path to Googlebot that how to visit site means visit this page after that page and when new pages have been added in site then tell Googlebot to check back for changes on specific pages. Like you might want a spider (Bot) check your homepage daily because the addition of new products, items, and new content. In case your website is built on WordPress then it will good to install the Google XML Sitemaps Plugin because it automatically creates and updates your sitemap. A free tool name is XML you can use to create a sitemap for your website.
Submit Sitemap to Google webmaster tools – Google webmaster is a first place where you should upload your sitemap by going to optimization > sitemaps and add the link to your website’s sitemap to webmaster tool to notify Google about it and the pages you have already published. Create an account with bing also and submit your sitemap to them via webmaster tool for taking extra credit.
Submit website URL to search engines- Although there are several other ways to get crawler or spider to your site but this way take a moment and without hurt things. So submit your website URL to Google after simply signing into your Google Account by going to “submit URL” option in webmaster tool. Also, submit your site to Bing by using any anonymous tool that itself submit it to yahoo.
Create or promote Social profiles – Crawler gets to your site via links you already know. One great way to get quick links is that to create social networking profiles for your new website and adding a link to your new website to pre-existing profiles. This includes Twitter profile, facebook page, LinkedIn profile, Google+profile or pages, youtube channels and Pinterest profiles.
Share your New website Link – if you have added your new website link to pre-existing social profiles once and share it on those networks while these links are nofollow but still they alert search engines that are tracking social signals. In the Pinterest, pin an image from the website and in youtube create a video than through it introducing your new website and must include a link in the video description as well as put it in about page where in short you completely describe your website.
