DMCC Proclaimed Best Free Zone in the World

The Financial Times fDi Magazine has proclaimed Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) as the Global Free Zone of the Year. The Financial Times fDi Magazine’s annual survey examines a variety of criteria including annual performance, annual growth, annual expansion plans and infrastructure developments as well as industry presence.

The DMCC was praised by The Financial Times fDi Magazine for its effective physical and digital service procedures as well as unrivalled infrastructure.  Currently, the DMCC is home to more than 11,000 registered companies. The DMCC’s community amounts to 85,000 residents and workers.

The DMCC free zone has recently announced its plans for Burj2020 District. Burj2020 District is intended to become the commercial and business hub of the southern part of Dubai. Burj2020 District is intended to cover more than 1 million square metres, which is about double the size of Rockefeller Center in New York.

Besides the additional commercial space, Burj2020 will be the tallest commercial tower across the world. Overall, the tower’s space will amount to more than 100,000 square metres. The Burj2020 will cater to the DMCC, JLT as well as the surrounding regions.
