Disable Avast From Blocking Websites.

Avast is amongst the computer antivirus software which is available in both free as well as commercial versions. As it is quite important to secure the computer from malicious activities, many users have downloaded and installed the free edition of the antivirus for using in homes.

But in case if you have enabled the website blocking or accidentally blocked a website that you don't want to then you can disable this feature.

1. In the system tray, right click on the orange icon. You will see Open Avast! User Interface, click on the option. It will launch the main application.

2. On the left side of the screen, select Additional Protection option. Then choose Site Blocking available beneath it. You can see which websites are blocked by the antivirus software on the right side of the window.

3. To prevent blocking any individual website select the gray Delete option available at the end of the row after selecting a website from the list.

4. Untick the box from the Enable Site blocking available at the top of the screen to properly disable the software from blocking the sites.

5. For returning to the desktop close down the user interface.

How to add Websites in the Exclusions List:

1. From the system tray double-click on the icon for opening the user interface.

2. On the left side click the "Real-Time Shields" tab and then select the Web Shield option.

3. To open the Web Shield settings window click the Expert Settings button.

4. On the left you will find Exclusions option. Click on that tab.

5. In the URLs to exclude section, you will find 'enter address' box. Click once in that box. Type the URL of the website.

6. Now select Add button for adding the website in the Exclusions list.

7. You can add all the websites which you want to visit and then click OK for saving the new settings and close the window.
