There are different eras in the history of comics and since this particular artistic medium became popular it changed its appearance and style. When we compare silver with Bronze Age comics, we can say that superheroes in silver age often have too many personalities and they are self-doubting, which makes it much more realistic, than golden age superheroes that were really super-humans. In the other words, they were more relatable and much more human. Silver age comics include:

·         The X-Men Marvel Comics

·         The Avengers Marvel Comics

·         Green Lantern DC Comics

During the silver age, Marvel got a creative run because they added characters that Stan Lee created.

On the other hand, Bronze Age began different method of comic book distribution because in this time they first established comic book shops which are far better and different than selling them on newsstands. The Bronze Age includes a different aspect of life which is more disturbing such as crime, morality, poverty, the atmosphere that is great opposition to immortal superheroes that are unable to get hurt.

The silver age still contains great influence, and most of these superheroes are seen in science fiction settings. This particular era was followed by Bronze Age.

In order to understand everything, we have to mention golden age of comics, where heroes and stories were more mature and based on horror and war. However, in the beginning of ‘70s comics became more complex and therefore rules have changed because stories became different. We can actually say that Bronze Age refers to magic inspired stories that were popular during the ‘70s. That was part of changes that comics were going through. This particular age is also called post-silver age.

While we have the '70s in our way, we have to mention that during Bronze Age DC had a rough time of selling comics. There was an event that was labeled as DC Explosion, which was the time when they created many titles and reached the worldwide fame. However, implosion followed, and DC had to cancel all those titles. They reached to Jack Kirby to work for them and created a comic book that was called New Gods, which was something different and changed the way DC Universe functions. This particular comic book changed the way we think about villains and heroes. Jack Kirby was a first professional that was originally promoted on front pages with a slogan “Kirby is coming”. He paved a way in the comic industry for many more professionals that will come.

Conclusion:

There are many eras of comic books that you should know before you decide to start reading them. There are many benefits and advantages of choosing comics as your main medium that will help you determine the life and perspective. Even though, during the silver age heroes were more super humans, during the Bronze Age comics everything was set down in the reality zone and perspective so that every human could find himself in characters which led to a new perspective and therefore more popularity.
